The Mandal has been organizing Durga Utsav since last ten years at Laxmi Nagar and getting an overwhelming response from the citizens from all parts of the city. Ours is not only limited to setting up of Maa Durga idol like others, but we also organize a host of socio-cultural and religious programmes, while propagating message of peace, unity and brotherhood.
We aim to create awareness among the youths, who’re nowadays, increasingly addicted to western lifestyle, about rich culture and heritage of our great nation through our events. During festivities, our venue witnessed a footfall of over 15,000 on nine days every year.
Previously, the Mandal had depicted life journeys of Swami Vivekanand, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Swatantryaveer Sawarkar and Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak through a pictorial gallery and audio-visual systems. This year, we would be portraying the noted freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who sacrificed his life for the nation. The gallery would portray his life journey and immense contribution towards nation’s freedom struggle.
However, without your cooperation, coordination, motivation and blessings, we couldn’t have been successful in all these years. This year as well, we seek your support and blessings and more importantly, your participation in all our events, to make them successful.
We also request you to visit our Mandal and take darshan of Maa Durga and also to grace all our programmes with your family, friends and relatives, as entry to all our programmes are absolutely free. We also request you to join us in making this event successful and spread the message of peace, unity and brotherhood. Let’s build the new India.
